Cancellation And Refund Policy

 

1. Cancellation

All customers may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 20 days before the scheduled rental start date.

However, if the cancellation is made within 20 days of the rental start date, a cancellation fee of 20% of the total reservation amount will apply.
In other words, your deposit will be retained as a penalty.

For example:
If you reserved bikes and gear and paid $100 USD as a deposit on January 1, 2023, for a rental starting on January 21, 2023,
you may cancel at any time up to January 1 without penalty.
However, if you cancel on or after January 2, your $100 deposit will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.

 

2. Refund

At Bike Rental Korea, we thoroughly inspect and maintain every bicycle to ensure optimal condition prior to rental.

If a mechanical issue arises due to a defect in major components such as the frame, crank, brakes, or wheels, you may visit the nearest bicycle repair shop for service.
Please take clear photos of the issue and contact us within 2 hours of occurrence.
Upon verification by our certified maintenance staff, we will reimburse the repair cost in full or in part, depending on the component and circumstances.

However, issues related to tire tubes, chains, gears, or derailleurs are, in most cases, the result of user mishandling, such as improper shifting or overloading.
Based on our long-term rental experience, the majority of such cases are determined to be rider-induced and therefore may not be eligible for reimbursement.

Please also be advised of the following:

• No refunds will be issued once the rental has started, regardless of the reason, including change of mind, early returns, or partial use.

• The full rental fee applies once the rental period begins, and partial refunds are not available under any circumstances.

We are committed to providing high-quality bicycles and service, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in using our equipment responsibly.

 

3. Penalty

When you return the bike, our team will inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during your rental.
While we understand that normal wear and tear is expected, any significant or avoidable damage may incur additional charges.

You will need to create a PayPal account to make your payment.

Please note that transactions from PayPal to other banking systems may incur an additional fee, which we do not cover or reimburse.
(There is no transaction fee between PayPal accounts.)
